Cochlear implant (CI) service delivery models can be tailored to client need. Telepractice underpins some of these models for preoperative and postoperative habilitation, assessment and device management. Telepractice guidelines have been developed and followed for CI mapping and for habilitation. The aim of this webinar is to use the telepractice model as a framework for establishing the efficacy and the efficiency of the multifaceted models of service delivery of implantable technologies.
A series of case studies of recipients will be presented, highlighting the need for an individualized approach. Pilot data from a small cohort of normal hearing subjects will be presented used verify use an APPlication (APP) that has been designed to measure speech perception using an adaptive approach as well as fixed signal to noise ratio.
