Accessibility is the key to successfully including students who are blind or vision impaired at school and we are here to help! This series of 4 webinars will support you when creating a range of documents that will be fully accessible through screen reader software and refreshable braille devices. Each episode will feature a step-by-step explanation for creating the documents which we will then share through a screen reader to help you ‘hear’ the results!

Our first session will guide you through the development of EXCEL documents and demonstrate using headings, tables, graphics, and categories. RIDBC Access Technology Consultant Mike Corrigan will then show you how the document sounds through his screen reader software, demonstrate a few shortcuts and explain why these accessibility options are so helpful to a reader who is blind or has low vision.

Completing this webinar will contribute 25 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 1.1, 1.5,.1.6, 6.2,.6.3, 6.4, 7.4 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teachers Accreditation in NSW.
