This one day conference provides an opportunity for Teachers of the Deaf, school support staff, parents and related health professionals to learn more about the current research and practices related to the education of students with hearing loss.
Together we will workshop strategies that cater to the challenges facing secondary Maths students with Vision Impairment and their teachers. We will investigate options for inclusion of students who use large print, screen readers and braille.
This one-day workshop will explore the links between pragmatics and social communication. Participants will build knowledge informed by the latest research in the field of pragmatics in deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children and young people, and its application to a range of education settings.
